Hey, I’m Evie Brockwell - A Product Management Coach & Consultant. I spend my time helping Product People, and teams, become really really good at Product. A lot of my experience has been focussed on travel and transport companies, including 4 years at Booking.com. This fits nicely with my lifestyle as a Digital Nomad. I love helping Product people worldwide to be excellent at what they do and really grow the value their Products deliver. I share all of my knowledge and insights on the topic in the hope that it can help you grow your practises and see amazing results.

In the last 8 years, I’ve seen a huge variety in how teams operate in the Product world. From companies that have recently introduced ‘Agile’ and ‘SCRUM’, to those that are doing everything from NSM, OKRs and experimentation extremely well. Trust me, where a company is on this scale makes a huge difference to how the Product performs over time. Effective Product functions lead to:

From working with 12 different Product Organisations, the number one approach that helps teams to evolve their Product practises is through assessing they’re strenghts and weaknesses, and making a plan to evolve in the areas that will have the most impact. I designed this Product Maturity model for organisations to do just that.

Depending on the stage of growth you’re at, size of the business or your current goals - you might want to deep dive into different areas to improve. Don’t feel like you need to be exceptional in every single one of these spaces, as even the best Product organisations can still improve! But if you want to make sure you see the benefits of an effective Product Management function, it’s an amazing place to start.

Improvements can come from anywhere, but a key area that I’ve seen a lot of organisations need help with is bridging the gap between Strategy and Delivery. 67% of organisations fail to execute effectively on their strategy as they don’t do this effectively. Another area is ensuring that you can measure and learn with everything you do. This is how Booking.com managed to achieve conversion rates 2-3x the industry average. If you’d like more insight on how to use this model and what good looks like, you can find it here.

If you’d like any more insight on how to do Product Management really really well, then please get in touch - I’d love to help you!
